Brianna Hunstiger
Residence DirectorBrianna Hunstiger earned her bachelor’s degree in community health from Minnesota State University, Mankato. She spent five years caring for seniors and adults with disabilities and also did missionary work in Vermont for a few years. Brianna returned to Minnesota in November 2013 to join the Shoreview Senior Living team and has been with our community ever since. Brianna chose her career in senior care because she finds fulfillment in knowing her work makes a difference. She enjoys learning about residents’ stories, listening to their invaluable wisdom, and seeing the smiles on their faces.

Patty Fitzgerald
Director Of NursingDirector of Nursing Patty Fitzgerald began working at Southview in 1977 as a nursing assistant on the Senior Communities’ nursing home side. Patty earned her Associate Degree from Inver Hills Community College in 1983 and completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Bethel University in 2008. She has also worked as a staff nurse and a clinical manager, and she managed both a long-term care unit and a memory care unit. Patty’s mother and role model worked as a nurse, so Patty understood at a young age the level of compassion and care required in caring for the elderly. Today, she loves being part of a team that delivers emotional and physical support to seniors while helping them maintain their independence. Helping seniors navigate the challenges of aging with courage and dignity is satisfying work for Patty. She enjoys hearing stories from the residents of all the things they have learned in their lives. That connection is what builds trusting relationships and makes a difference for the residents and for Patty.
